There are mainly the following reasons:
1. Pull-through: The mandrel of the rivet is pulled out from the rivet body as a whole, and the fracture of the mandrel is not broken, leaving a through hole in the rivet body after riveting.
The reasons for the pull-through phenomenon are: the pulling force of the mandrel is too large; the diameter of the mandrel cap is too small; the material of the rivet body is too soft; the surface of the inner hole of the rivet is too lubricated.
2. Burr: After riveting, the burr of the mandrel fracture will penetrate outside the rivet body hole; or the rivet body hole brings out the tip and protrudes, forming a burr that scrapes the hand.
The reasons for the burrs are: the diameter of the mandrel cap is too small; the material of the rivet body is too soft; the diameter of the workpiece drilling is too large; the size of the nozzle of the rivet gun is too large; the distance between the mandrel fracture and the mandrel head is too large, which exceeds the actual Riveting thickness.
